HoneyRock // Brand Introduction
Every brand has a story that needs to be told. HoneyRock has been developing leaders since their inception in 1951, but their brand didn’t fully reflect that fact. This brand video highlights their shift in name change, new logo, and not leaving their rich history behind while continuing to develop future leaders.
More than a summer camp
“When people think HoneyRock, the first thing they think of is summer camps…” HoneyRock rebranded from, “HoneyRock Outdoor Adventure Center” to “HoneyRock Leadership Development Center” They have been developing leaders since their inception in 1951, but their brand didn’t fully reflect that fact. They got boxed into solely providing great summer camp experiences for campers and counselors alike.
This brand video highlights the shift in name change, new logo, and to not leaving their rich history behind while continuing to develop leaders.
Process
This project started with reading through HoneyRock’s provided rebranding guide several times and numerous virtual meetings. This also entailed traveling to the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. We interviewed Executive Director Rob Ribbe in the Heritage Center – which displays several tangible memories and milestones of HoneyRock’s history. This felt like the right space to nod towards its rich past, and aim for the future.
